International Motorsport Group is a highly successful motor racing company based in Auckland the largest city in New Zealand.

The IMS racing team pride themselves on building and racing the world’s most prestigious marques, spanning more than 55 years we have had the privilege of working with many of the world’s greatest drivers, competing globally and locally in New Zealand.

We are currently working on preparing our race cars to compete in the action-packed NZ endurance racing series and the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT86 championship.

International Motorsport racing have a team built of the most experienced race mechanics, engineers and fabricators in the country.

IMS racing has the professional demeanor and knowledge to excel as a world class operation, this year will see the team continue to grow and the business to expand beyond our expectations.

Race Car Preparation

  • Car set up/set down and alignment on scales before and after events
  • Complete race preparation safety check overs and reports
  • Race Engine, Gearbox and Differential Rebuilds
  • Shock Absorber Dyno Testing
  • Sourcing of new parts, race tyres and brakes as required
  • Professional data analysis and engineering reporting
  • IMS Group has its own panel and paint division
  • Professional car image/livery designer and sign writers on standby


Full Track Support

  • All staff including management, senior data engineers, race engineers and tyre technicians
  • Transportation of race cars and all team supplied equipment to run a race car
  • Full team support for private test days or full race meetings available
  • Management of all track booking, race entries, fuel, food, media releases and other logistics including drivers travel and accommodation arrangements as required.

We specialise in preparing  and racing top of the line race cars from Audi and Porsche bristling with the latest technology, our race team prides itself on having the ability to provide all the services involved with racing at the highest level.

We have all the equipment to do car setups, advanced engineering, and fabrication work, the race shop is equipped with a reconditioning division for race engine’s and gearbox’s  which is approved by Porsche for GT3 Cup engines as well as servicing and re-building of Audi GT3 LMS gearboxes.

The team also has professional fabricators approved by Motorsport NZ to install race car roll cages, exhaust systems and fabrication work to “Schedule A” level.

Our advanced shock absorber dyno testing and reporting rig is also available for adjustments or diagnosis of a problems with your suspension.

We have also build complete race cars as seen with the highly successful BMW race cars of the 90s, the 2000’s Caltex NZV8 Team with Angus Fogg and Paul Pedersen and of late the new high-tech Nissan GTR R35 endurance race car that we are running in the National Endurance series.

The team at IMS racing continue to grow our endurance racing portfolio in New Zealand and Internationally, as shown at the 2017 Bathurst 12 Hour, and 2018 Phillip Island 101, IMS racing are one of few New Zealand based teams fully equipped to run race cars at a world class level and we often compete alongside the Factory teams.
